Modern Corinthians

When Paul wrote to the Corinthians he had to defend his ministry; he had to define Christian morality; he had to demonstrate the Holy Spirit’s presence and power to a church of people who thought they knew better. They were Greeks and Greeks were known for their immorality. Their gods were known for their immortality. They lived by the “If it feels good, do it” morality.

I can think of a few church denominations that are more Corinthian than biblical. We need more Pauls and fewer Corinthians in our churches today!
